Autumn colors in The Hague

Early this year I moved to The Hague, but I didn’t shoot many photos of it yet. As today was such a beautiful sunny day, I thought it was a good idea to take my camera and shoot some photos of the city dressed in autumn colors. I took the photos in the golden hour, in which the light of the sun is much softer and warmer and therefore more flattering than during the day. This light enables photos with a more magical atmosphere (shot at ISO 250, 1/400s, f/6.3):


Also, because of the low altitude of the sun to the horizon, shadows are much longer during the golden hour. I took this photo of one of the most famous streets of The Hague, where you can see the flattering light and long shadows of the golden hour combined with beautiful autumn colors (shot at ISO 400, 1/400s, f/8.0):
