After I bought the Nikon D7100 I experienced some problems in editing the 24 Megapixel photos from that camera in Adobe Lightroom on my old laptop. The photos were re-rendering all the time, making the editing process slow and annoying. Because of this I was looking for a new laptop, which was able to handle those big RAW files properly.
I was looking at the Apple MacBook Pro pretty quickly mainly because of the retina screen. After thinking of buying such an “overpriced” piece of hardware for a couple of weeks (and in the meantime getting more and more annoyed editing photos on the older laptop) I decided to go for it and to order a 13″ MacBook Pro with 16Gb of memory.
After receiving the laptop and unpacking it, I must say that I am very impressed with the build quality and above all the retina screen. OS X is a bit of a change, but it feels fast and stable!
From now on I will edit my photos in Adobe Lightroom on the MacBook Pro!
